Meet Your Makers have secured a spot in the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship following a 2-0 victory over MECTb.
On de_tuscan, MYM enjoyed a great start, embarking on an early 7-0 lead, partly because of the good form of Eduard "edik" Ivanov, who showed off great skills with the MP5. MECTb then got their first round in the match, but that did not impress MYM, who continued adding rounds to their tally. Finally the last rounds of the first half went MECTb's way as the scoreboard showed 10-5 at the break.
In the second half, MYM secured the first two rounds, but in the third one MECTb showed they could not be taken lightly and reduced the deficit to just one round. The rest of the map went back and forth, but MYM's first-half lead allowed them to secure a 16-11 win despite the close 6-6 scoreline.
The two teams then entered de_tuscan, where the first half was a really close affair, but in the end it was MECTb to get the upper hand, though with a slim 8-7 lead. In the second session, Ivanov proved again what he is made of, as he inspired MYM to turn the score around and pick up a second 16-11 victory.
Meet Your Makers will now directly enter the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship, while MECTb will have to play the second European qualifying round. The Russian spot in the first qualifying round will go to the winner of the match between forZe and Iron Will, which will enter its third map now.
